Interesting oil fiter discovery
I've had a V6 SHO of some sort in my garage since 2003, have probably put 150k+ on them total in that time, plus track days here and there which mandates an oil change right after.
So, 50+ oil changes. Give or take.
But please, tell me more about how I'm tossing away money by buying FL-1As by the case (which I currently do). :-)

For the average person who drives a average of 12,000 miles a year and changes their oil every 3,000 miles 12 oil filters will last 3 years.
Most American's drive 12,000 miles a year, most change their oil every 4-5,000 miles.
Most get a "new" car every 3-5 years.
Most dont buy the exact same car again, whats the point of getting a new car if you're going to buy the exact same one?
So whats the point of having a case of oil filters sitting on the shelf in your garage?
Oil filter technology changes all the time, why wouldn't you want the newest filter?
If you are running track days and need to change your oil every weekend or you own a fleet of vans all with the same engine thats different.
But, like I said, for the average DIY'er its a waste to have your money tied up in oil filter inventory in your garage.
Here is one example, a guy on here had a DII, he bought a case of oil filters for his truck, a year later it was totaled in a accident, he then bought a Jetta.
He was then stuck with a case of oil filters he could not use, $50 wasted.
Thats half a tank of gas.
