Given the vague language, I wasn't assuming that the microswitch has actually come off. It's not really a button.

 

If you're going to rely on the door lock, make sure you upgrade the pin that links the lock barrel to the mechanism inside the door. They're known to break and then you're really in trouble if that's your only access point.

 

Yeah it's been a while since I repaired one. Ebay doesn't currently list em, but Amazon had a few for around 10-12.00. USA should be 315mhz

 

I bought the upgraded pin somewhere and used to have a link for how to replace it but can't find it. By any chance, do you have link for a thread about replacing the pin? TIA
