Key Fob question
I’m gonna say that one won’t work. My ‘04 came with a “brand new” (which it was) China knock off. Tried with my Nanocom. Nope. I got all the codes and numbers I could from the chip and tried all of them. I posted to failbook groups and just did a bunch of research on it, and it seems the only ones that will work are the OEM ones.
This is what mine looks like:

So I’ve decided to now prioritize when I’ll get keyless entry and pay the ~$300 for a new OEM fob.

To add to the “you need the correct transmitter for this to work” thoughts, I went ahead and ordered a new OEM fob. Took less than 2 minutes to program with the Nanocom. Now I’m on the hunt for a used transmitter as I have a perfect case and brand new key to be cut- just need the transmitter.
