Default Lag

Is lag just a landrover thing? My car lags when going uphill or after I make a stop at a light. My mornings usually consists of angry people cutting me off. Is this just a land rover thing? Maybe something that comes with age? I drive a 2002 landrover discovery. My car drives fine otherwise.

That depends on what you mean by lag. Can you be more descriptive? I mean, they're slow vehicles, but there's not much lag between pressing the throttle and the vehicle responding. Virtually none in fact, definitely not noticable during regular driving.

Check your throttle cable adjustment. If the gap is larger than 3mm you’ll have throttle lag & a cruise control that surges.

Using 2 13mm open end wrenches adjust it until you have 2mm between for the gap. You’ll have nice throttle response & no lag with your cruise control.
