Default Landrover tools?

What do you experts do when the rave calls out using LRT-xx-xxx? Specifically, I'm looking at the crankshaft pulley and oil seal. I'm thinking once I dig in I can figure something out without the special tools?

thats a good link; but there are no specialty tools need to replace the front seal.

Why? All that shows is a popularity contest. It has little to do with actual value.

I "like" the post about using some wood screws to screw into the front seal and use them to pull it out. Must say I haven't tried it yet.

You have to search by legacy part number. Everything has been renumbered since RAVE but they haven't updated the numbers in TOPIx either. If it's a xxxxx/1 and xxxxx/2 tool series you have to leave out the /1 part. Thanks Land Rover!

Also even some of the numbers in RAVE / GTR/TOPIx have been superseded and the only way to know is by tech bulletins. I think the tool you are after, the 12-088 became 12-200 and now is 303-991.

actually if you take the radiator out you could zip the bolt out with an impact gun.
