Landrover tools?
Well, I picked up yet another motorcycle project yesterday. (I'm much more comfortable restoring bikes) So now I'm looking at letting my local mechanic tackle the oil seal perhaps. He's going to do a full transmission fluid change for me tomorrow. Says he has a machine to get all the fluid out. I did not really want to do the hand pump thing, especially when I have a bike in the garage calling me
I'm slowly checking off tasks on the 60K maintenance list.

Please have him do tranny filter as well. Great to have a pump to get out what is in the torque converter. And have you looked at your front drive shaft to see if it has grease fittings? If not that might be a good project as well (write up with pix in our tech section) - when shaft comes apart it pokes a hole in the tranny - and all that new fluid and some parts may come out.
Well, the scooter is not much of a project really. Clean the carbs, adjust valves, change oil and it will be road worthy. People tend to let bikes sit and then don't want to pay a mechanic when they won't run or won't run correctly. Usually it's simple stuff and I pick up a bike for next to nothing, fix it up and ride for a few months then get bored and sell it for a profit. Just sold a 98 Magna that was mint. Craigslist is my main hobby
Beyond 60K maintenance and one minor oil leak, I don't have anything wrong with the rover right now. (knock on wood) Mainly I'm looking at minor upgrades like a brush guard. Otherwise, just enjoying the heck out of it. Most comfortable vehicle I've ever had by far! Getting 17mpg highway too!
