I have a 2003 disco II which I plan on lifting 2 inches.
I want to put on larger tires but I want to keep the stock rims.

My question is, what size tires can i use without causing any problems?
Also is a 2 inch lift too much? not enough?

 

31.5- 32" is a good fill

 

I squeezed 285/75/16 under my truck with 2" lift. A few years later and after 2 more inches bringing it to 4" lift, I went down to a 265/75/16 and like them a lot more.

 

Just to clarify for the OP. You don't need 4" of lift for a 265/75/16 to fit. It's a 32" tire and popular size on discos with a 2" lift.

 

When it's time to change out my tires on my '99 w/ a 2" lift, I'll go with 275/65-18 tires. Probably the Nitto Terra Grapplers or the Mud Grapplers. I have Terra Grapplers on it now (stock size), but need to fill up the extra space the lift created.
