If they are for sure bad you should get a code, but who knows.
I am/was just shooting in the dark on that one.

It could have something to do with combustion temps (premium burns cooler than regular)
Could just be a fluke.

For the subject of liners slipping, I'm understanding from what people on this thread say... it IS possible but, not probable? Is that what we're getting at? In other words it's more the exception, not the rule. Just a mistake at the plant that left a gap at the bottom and when you overheat, the liner slips and gets worse and worse. I've heard that most ticks in these engines are usually valve train related, correct?

Definately, strange though to say the least. Now I don't know if I should run super or regular??? What's worse?
