Use the sensor that comes with the new hub, they can vary in length. Also, as l mentioned before...clean that vent tube...if it is plugged...you will continue to have problems. The axle has a vent for a reason, same as your engine (though, it's a PCV), trans, trasfer case, to relieve pressure. The tube just slides out when you depress the collar of the fitting, nothing to do with the fitting (as far as cleaning or removing), the tube just slides through it.

Ok I got it done this evening. Next up, gear oil change. Any particular brand I should lean towards?
I also have one more novice question on this hub change. Once I got the hub bolt tightened all the way down. The drive shaft would slide back and forth a bit. Is that normal?
On the breather tube, how far up does that thing go? I thought it was only supposed to go to the top of the drivers side rear wheel well? I traced mine up to the frame, all the way back to the back of the rig and then waaay up the rear corner. So far I couldn’t see where it ended. It’s got one in line connection to get the extra length of tubing. I guess one of the POs put a wading kit on it? I cleaned up around the fitting and the tube and pulled the tube out of the fitting. I was able to blow air throw it. It wasn’t like blowing through a straw but air was moving....good enough or should I get more flow?

I used SuperTech from W-M. No issues, but there are many other opinions.
You mean once you put 360 ft/lbs (or something close) on the axle nut, the shaft would slide in and out of the bearing a bit? No, that doesn't sound right.
My rear breather goes all the way up and ends at the dipstick looking curl just behind the D side brake light assembly.

You can use any standard 85/140 gear oil, doesn't need to be expensive. My rear breather tube ends with a curly bent end inside the top of the drivers side wheel well, I wish it went clear to the tail light, that's a good thing. Your rear sunroof drains are behind the tail lights also, if you ever have the light assembly out, it's a good time to check the end of the drain to make sure it's not clogged, just an FYI.
