Leaking oil cooler line.
The drivers side oil cooler line is leaking at the swivel joint between the hose and the connection to the oil cooler. First of all how do you disconnect the line from the cooler? Is the black plastic ring a dust cap or is that the disconnect tool? Second, if I got this line off do you think a hydraulic shop could replace the fitting? Last, if they can't is this a dealer only part? I can;t find it listed on any of the big rover part websites.

Nevermind guys, I got the connection apart and cleaned it really well and reassembled. No leaks now. For future searchers and those that are interested you have little tabs inside the black plastic ring that push on metal tabs inside the connector. You align these tabs and push the black ring into the connector and it slides apart easy as pie.
Also for future reference you do not have to break these connectors to change the radiator, you can remove both the oil and transmission coolers from the radiator while still in the truck and slide the old one out and new one in with no problem. You don;t have to remove the fan or shroud either, there is plenty of room to work with those still in the truck.

Does cleaning this up typically help?
I have a leak on the passenger side I need to address, I cleaned up the area first but it appears like it might be leaking between the actual cooler and cooler pipe (pipe that connects to the passenger side transmission cooler hose). I'm going to clean it up one more time and double check the location of the leak spot. I guess with the high pressure it could be 'squirting' a needle size spray in that direction from the cooler pipe/cooler hose connection.
It does not appear to be leaking from fitting on the transmission cooler hose.
I am searching on the board and it seems like replacing the passenger side transmission cooler hose is quite common....
What is typically the cause of the leak?
Is the cure usually a whole new hose?
I thought I saw someone on the board, antichrist I think, post a modification fix to this hose so it is easier to fix in the future, but I cannot find it now.
Any help appreciated as I have a long trip coming up in a few days!
