Those could be the same issue, or not. If you didn't bleed it properly, you're going to have frothy fluid. If it's leaking, who cares? It's still going to be a problem.

I'd be looking for where this fluid is coming from still. I know it sucks to get in there and see, but unless the pressure hose is broken, there aren't many other places it could be coming from. Clean the pressure hose very well, restart and let it leak. If the pressure hose stays clean, the suction hose it messy (but you're sure you attached it well) it can really only be from the pump shaft or body, dripping down onto the suction hose.

Well I'm pretty confident it's the pump. Roverland parts is out of stock. I refuse to pay $600 for this assclown power steering pump.(RoversNorth). Atlantic British doesn't sell them on their site. Is there some hole in the wall online store that might sell one of these?

Here's an aftermarket pump I found.

This place is selling some. Genuine, aftermarket and OEM.

Has anyone had experience with the after market pump or OEM?

A few months ago, I tried and tried to find anything that wasn't OEM. All of the web sites that listed rebuilds in stock in fact did not have them in stock. I ended up getting a used one from a junk yard online (Car Cannibal, I think).

Napa sell reman units, they fail but Napa will swap them out for free while under warranty. Something to think about.

$239 w/o core. How did I miss that? Or maybe that was one of the places I called that didn't have it in stock. In any case, not a bad price at all. I would have paid the extra to get that rather than the junk one.

It just blows that this crap happens not one week after finally getting my damn truck back on the road, after 3 months of repairs and upgrades(tires, lift, new hg, intake gasket, driveshaft). Just when I'm babying her this is how she treats me. I was looking to get my alignment done, not a new damn ps pump!

Mine was leaking, tried Lucas for temp fix, no luck, took turkey baster got all fluid out of reservoir, put in 1/3 bottle of White Shepherd , filled rest of way with Valvoline power steering fluid, no leak for the last 8,000 miles, mine was leaking bad, temporary fix is still going strong, must have been o rings. I don't believe in snake oils but this seem to work.

I pulled my ps pump today. The gasket has turned to utter crap and was pissing ps fluid when I pressure tested it. So that's what's leaking all over the return hose. I made a template out of universal gasket and applied some rtv and reassembled. I'm letting it sit over night. Hopefully it stops the leak. Praying for a cheaper/quicker fix this time.

Well my rover just stared pissing ps fluid last week. Today, I took the pump out, cleaned the surface and used permatex rtv sealant and put it back together. Never saw an O ring on the metal line going into the side of my pump. I tightened everything back down. Hoses looked good, swapped clamps and filled it up. But no luck, still leaking. I didnt use any media between the 2 halves of the pump, just the rtv. Should I take it back apart and razor cut some kind of sandwich material to go with it?

Well hey man I just got my truck running again today and the universal gasket stuff has seemed to work so far. Maybe try that and some rtv.
