Might want to consider a 20 light, 7000k, water proof sting that is 24"s long, a few less lights but brighter and I think they look better with a little more separation between the lights.

I disagree, the tighter the light strand the better it will look. After all, it's Audi you're trying to emulate! That's my reservation about doing this- the lights are too far apart and even on the OP's 03/04 front-end it looks the best in the final pic where it's dark out and the individual lights are less noticeable.

I always planned on doing this, but never acually did it...so I'm thinking to purchase a similar side emitting 24 led strip, ...good **** though I didn't expect it to look soo good..I'm not sure exactly what the law would be on it, I know inside blocking any light at all would be illegal in all states, outside not blocking would depend on if proper relays were used to function as the audi ones do, but again this isn't an audi.

The last post on this thread is from 12 years ago, and it's in a forum for the Discovery 2. You might want to post your question in the Evoque forum.
