Default Light on key fob stills lit

I replaced the battery (CR2032) in the key fob. Now for some odd reason the red "led" light stays illuminated - but, the light is very dim. Even tried two other batteries from other working remotes, same thing.

I cracked it open and checked the buttons attached to the circuit board, thinking they might be jammed up. No luck.

Is the remote junk?

How hard is it to get a replacement and program it? Do we have to go to the dealer to have the keys programmed?

I would re-open it again and check all the connections, cause if it is damaged it will cost you upwards of $100 for a new one and that much more to have Rover program it.
