Locking with key fob vs manual lock
All this discussion about immobilizing lockout has me spooked!
We have a 2002 Disco II. Our key (I need to get another made) has key fob. I’ve not yet used it to lock it as it’s been in our shop getting the engine gone through.
Do you HAVE to use the fob to lock/unlock? Is that the best way to avoid lockout issues?
There is a constant red light at ignition. Is this something to do with security system?
Thanks!

I have a 99 D2, remote lock doesn’t work so I’m always using my key. The red light blinks fast when I lock or unlock then (if I’m locking) settles in to a slow blink or turns off if I’m unlocking.
