Default Looking to buy 03 Disco....

I have owned a 1994 Disco for a long time and have been very happy with it, but I really like the newer Discos. I am looking to trade my Audi for a 03 Disco. I would like some feed back by those who own them about maintance problems and how they are off road. I love my locking diffs on my Disco are they similar on the new ones? Thanks

If you are planning on going off road alot, don't buy an 03, they do not have CDL, locking t/case, hense less traction as your old Disco and you can not run lockers on an 03.
If you want to play eeither buy a 99, 2000, early 2001 or a 2004, then you will be able to do good things off the road.

I plan on keeping my 94 as well for the fun stuff, just looking for something more suitable for longer trips to replace my audi a6. I am looking for some maintance trobule on the newer ones. Thanks

Well, honestly, an 04 is better when it comes to maintence.

I have an 03, and lets just say, it hasn't been easy on my parents wallet.

They are great vehicles and I plan on keeping her for a loongg time, but an 04 is gunna be better because most of the kinks have been worked out.

I haven't had many issues with my '03 SE.

03's have been know to have oil pump/pressure related issues, many engines have been lost over this issue and it is well documented by many Rover TSB's.
Go for an 04 have the best of the last of the Discos.

I have an '03 that has been great for me. But like Mike said, '03's will not give you the off road capability as an '04. I don't do heavy off-roading, but it would be nice to have the option. To each his own!
