Default Looking for a Discovery

I am currently looking to buy a Land Rover Discovery, what should I look for, what should I stay away from. Currently I have a 74 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser andas much as I love this truck is does not suit my needs, I need something that can be a daily driver but also something I can take on the occasional trail ride. I am not looking for a 4X4 want-a-Be SUV, I want to be able to drive it long distances and not feel like my spine is going to fall out of my back. I am very handy when it comes to mechanical things...hell I own a 35 year old FJ40 so working on it is not a problem.

Later,

Corey

I don't know what your budget is but I would find a 2004 Discovery, have the u-joints in the front driveshaft replaced with greaseable u-joints and call it good. It will do everything you need and be a comfortable daily driver as well as on long trips. A Land Rover is far from a 4x4 wannabe.

Hello, I have a 2000 Discovery SE (all the bells and whistles) for sale that I would be happy to talk to you about if you re interested. I am located in Tennessee. It is in great shape with no lights on at all, coil conversion kit installed, all sensors replaced, tires at 40%, clean inside an out.
