Problem similar to the above:

99 Discovery with 148,000 miles

I've only had it now for 3 months, then the loss of power and what would seem like missing is happening, the check engine came on this morning, it would flash a little and then stay on steady.

This all just happened this morning, so just about every symptom in the above posts, except for no Antifreeze leaking or low fluid, and there isn't any water in the oil it was just changed.

At this point I guess I need to get to computer to read the codes on it? Any suggestions?

Yes, go get your codes read for free at advance, autozone, o'reily's, etc.
Then start your own thread and people will help you diagnose, just make sure you get the actual code numbers - ex. P0134

I had lost the heater hoses once and it left a little coolant in the boot of the spark plug wire. Every once in a while it would boil the coolant in the boot and then arc to the block, this caused a misfire but at least it was easy to diagnose. Good luck with yours.
