Hello everyone, I finally signed up for this great forum. I have a 1999 Land Rover Discovery 2. and my blower just packed up. I bought a new blower, new used resistor and just lately found a new wire harness for it as well.
Still will not work. Checked the voltage from the source and only 5 volts are showing on my meter.
Could someone please guide me from here, please

Maybe check the switch. Easier to troubleshoot if you have the wiring diagram and work backwards from the blower.

The saga continues, the harness was replaced and the connections to the blower under the passenger side. Did a final check and found a 40amp fuse had blown in the engine compartment. Replaced fuse, that blew again.
The fuse box lid diagram corresponding to the 40amp blown fuse shows the outline of a radiator with a fan blade in the middle.
I cannot find anything in my manual that refers to this.
Are there any fine Rover lovers that can put me out of my misery and explain what I am missing?

Maybe that symbol is your heater blower motor?

 

You’ll need to get out your meter and start isolating sections of the circuit downstream of the fuse that keeps blowing to find the cause of the blowing fuse. The wiring diagram and connector diagram manuals will be invaluable here. They are easily downloadable.

 

@Snowshoe904 that fuse is for your secondary fan electric in front on the A/C condenser I believe. If you check it likely seized up
