If it is a stuck lifter you can put a quart of ATF in the oil and it will clear it up in a week or so. If it's a dropped sleeve, go with the snake oil.

I do all the oil changes for my family and friends. My grandpa didn't believe in maintenance so he'd go 20+ thousand miles between oil changes. I'd make it a point to put a quart of the cheapest ATF I could get my hands on in the crankcase a couple of weeks prior to changing the oil and it'd always get rid of the tick.

My uncle is a master mechanic for Toyota. He always wanted to tear the engine apart and replace crap. I say try the easiest fix first...

I put that Honey stuff in my wifes old mini van before she got a new Chevy Travers and it really made the check engine light go away... call me crazy or it may have been a big coincidence, but whatever!! Funny you put that up there!!

No noise is normal, it indicates a wear issue, with no exceptions.
If you are getting this noise, you need to have a oil pressure test done. Leave it over night, check oil pressure when stone cold at an idle and at 2000 RPM's and again when warmed up at idle and 2000 RPM's.
Get back to us with those 4 sets of numbers and remember it is your engine, your expense, so do this yesterday before it costs you big time and by the way don't depend on any of the heavy oil additives to cushion a noise, this is just a short term fix that will still fail.
