Trying to remove the lower manifold. All bolts are out and the coils have been disconnected. The manifold won't budge. Is there something I'm missing. There is sealant between the manifold and the valley pan gasket. How difficult is this thing supposed to be to remove?

 

sometimes the sealant has it stuck on and u have to tap it with a rubber mallet. Have you disconnected your fuel rail and fuel line also. You have the bolts that bolt into the block and remove those then remove the lower manifold then you have 2 bolts in the front and 2 in the back that hold down the valley pan gasket.

 

i got it off. I used a couple of rags to protect the manifold and used a pry bar against the alternator mount. Popped right off.
