Default Lower Intake Manifold Stuck

I recently started tearing things apart on my 2004 Disco to do my own head gasket replacement and some other things like plugs, wires, 180 degree thermostat, etc.

I have taken the 12 bolts out of the lower intake manifold but I cant for the life of me get it off.(see picture) I have tried using a rubber mallet to try to make it come loose. I also tried prying a little bit with a piece of wood. Everything I have done has been unsuccessful, is there anything I could have missed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if anyone is in the Colorado Springs area and is able to help I have some free beer for your help.

This is my first big job on the disco and am trying to save money as the indy shop i got a quote for wanted $3400.

Thanks for the help!

If you are sure all the bolts are out, try prying from the driver or passenger side up. It will come off.

with all the bolts out it should pop free with blow from a mallet or dead blow

you might pull the fuel rail for clearance and then just get after it with a pry bar... you might be running into something silly holding it down like someone using gasket sealer all the way around the valley gasket... been known to happen. Just some ideas really. Let us know how it goes.

If not released yet, +1 on using a dead blow hammer, rubber mallets are better at adjusting than breaking loose. If a dead blow isn't available a piece of 2x4 whacked by appropriate hammer usually works.
