I'm now going to embarrass myself just for the sake of closure:
I don't think what I was feeling had anything to do with the driveshaft. I'm now pretty convinced it was just the difference of driving with the AC on — I'm not used to that (Canada).
Just the extra load on the engine was making it feel different (I'm the princess and the pea when it comes to new sounds). Although I now do think the engine might be running a little rough (but no codes or anything obvious).

Now I'm onto replacing the front O2 sensors to see if that settles the motor a little. I can see the values are all over the place.
But doing the rears sucked so much — I don't wanna...
Anyone with a line on cheap bosch units? Best I'm getting is Rock Auto at just under $70 Canadian.
