Default Lug Nut Question

Does anyone know the lug thread size and pitch on a D1? One of the studs on my spare carrier got messed up and I need to get the die to fix it.

Problem solved. Took a spare lug nut down to the hardware store and found a bolt that will fit. Found that it is a M16x1.5 threads.

As long as we have a lug nut thread, what's the REAL difference in the lug nuts with "nipples" on them used on the spare, and the lug nuts without used on the actual road wheels???

The spare lugs not will NOT fit on the road wheel threads.

While we're on the subject why are the disco lug nuts such a different design from all the others I've seen? I've always wondered, LOL.

Uh-oh.... I'm in trouble then, because the P.O. left me with one wheel which has a spare lug nut holding it on. Crap. I guess I'd better pull that one off and see what the damage is.

And here I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend...

It probably didn't do any actual damage yet, the problem with using the spare lug nuts is that they aren't designed to handle the stress of being on a road wheel, only to keep the spare from flying off your back door and into that Civic that shouldn't be tailgating you. Assuming it hasn't done any damage yet just buy another regular lug nut and replace the spare with it and you should be good. :P
