Air coming from the vent

Air coming from the vent
I would like to get some info from you guys to see if my D2 is unique....
If I adjust the temp digits on the a/c to 18-22, then SWITCH OFF the a/c and drive, I can still feel a little breeze coming out from the vent. The temperature of the breeze is close to the outside temp.
But if I adjust the digit to 28, then SWITCH OFF the a/c and drive, I can feel the warm breeze even if it is snowing outside.
So my puzzle is : the a/c is actually still working even I have pressed the "(|)" (power) button on the a/c unit?
If this is the case, it may explain why my refrigerent is running out in a week.
Thanks in advance.

All vehicles have to have a given % of air coming thru the evnts, on or off, in the case of a D2, sometimes it will be warmer them normal and that too is normal do to a design error. Some people disconnect the heater hose and by-pass the system during the summer to keep the incoming air cooler.

Print that page and stick it in your glove box, you will need it after you replace your battery when it goes bad.
When you tuen the HVAC off while set to heat then it goes into standby and because heat was the last thing that you wanted it allows heat to still come in as the road air pushes through the vents.
Same thing when set to cold.
As for using so much R-134a, running the A/C or not has nothing to do with it, you have a serious leak that needs to be addressed.
