Default M and S Flashing light FMl

So get back driving from work and get home take a nap. When I get up to crank the car. S and M lights are flashing. Check engine light is on. 2 month back I change Crankshaft Positon Sensor and new battery. Alt was just fine. Read about the Gear shifting turning red and blinking , but I'm not getting that. The car just turn over but wont start. Check the engines code and getting p0335 and I know its for the crankshaft Position sensor... I had people tell me that it wouldn't throw a code for that and I don't believe it did last time.. 2003 Disco 132,112 miles on it with rebuilt engine.. Also I checked make sure everything was grounded. Seems to be no corrosion or anything. Any ideas before I take ckps back off which is pain in the ***.

Another thread read said to try pouring cold water over the sensor area then try to start it. If it starts then it's a bad sensor.

Never tried it myself, but its worth a shot.

I had this issue a month ago --- except no SES light.

I heard it was transmission related so I tookit to the shop and had the fluids flushed and refilled. I haven't had it since.

Also I shut the car off and turned it back on and the M&S lights were not flashing. I dunno lol.

M&S are usually caused by one of a couple things battery, alternator, bad ground or wxys switch.
is your truck shifting thru all gears or do you just have drive?

if you want to check the ckps switch you can do it with an obdll scanner that has live input, set it for RPMs see what it reads, if it reads anything while cranking it is good. And No the tach on the dash will not do the same thing.

When it was driving it was really smooth. Just parked then it wouldn't start. I guess I'm going to change the ckps then go from there. All the grounds are good when I put in drive just see if change thru the gears see what happens. The d is blinking. So I start with ckps since I don't have to spend money and then I'll change the switch

Try moving the gear selector to N and then see if anything changes.
