I've got a shop putting some new magnecor wires on my truck to fix a misfire problem. They've got the throttle body off, etc., but claim the wires (magnecor 80242 are way too short). The model number matches the magnecor part number correctly, what gives? Has anyone seen this before? Is the shop missing something?

hahahaha thats actually kinda sad that they almost messed that up.....

 

Did they ask why the other half was tooo long???

 

I would think twice about going back to that shop again.

 

Out of curiosity, what's the official "shop time" for the job when they remove the throttle body (intake plenum too? ) Reason I ask is that a non professional should take about 2-3 hours without removing the t-body, etc... Just curious...
