Default MAin Bearing Supplier

Hey everyone

Can some of you pass along what manufacturer you have used for your main bearings. I am looking for .010 undersize, thanks.

Atlantic British sells main bearings, I'm not sure what manufacturer they are, but for rod and main bearings it'll run you 170+/- shipped at Atlantic British.

If I recall correctly, oversized (CALLED UNDERSIZE) bearing inserts are not available from regular parts supplier/Land Rover. However, these undersized inserts are available from a land rover engine re-builder in Illinois or Michigan; can't recall name of company, but it is well known and big enough to locate with a little searching. Use Google search to search for it. If you can't find it, shoot me a PM, and I will scrounge around until I find it for you.

I did Google it and ended up with a lot of threads on forums about bearings and only 3 places to actually purchase. British Atlantic, Rimmer Bros and Land-Rover-Shop.com
We ended up going with BA as the bunk bearings came from Rimmers and LRS.com is a 2 week delivery. Federal Mogul had a listing but we contacted them and they can't find anything on there side which is weird. The bearings we did get from Rimmer Bros were actually made by King Bearings out of Israel.
The BA bearings are "AllMakes" but don't know the actual manufacturer but BA says they have seen are problem before and ensure these will work.

Thanks guys for the reponses and links.
Wish us luck.
