Might need new front diff and axle...
OK, so to cut a long story short, my front diff and RH axle may be broken, and I'm thinking about alternatives to replacing with stock.
I've heard very good things about maxidrive axles, and I'm very keen on an ARB locker.
Maxidrive do different spline size/numbers on their axles, and I think ARB might too.
Does anyone have any experience with compatability of these two?

Why do you think you broke your dif?
Rovers are know for weak diffs may be time to go more HD.
Do you want to go to the expense of ARB's, how about a front True Trac and a rear Detroit?

well, we had it up on blocks, and it was very hard to turn the front right wheel in neutral.
also, as i was driving it, all power was lost to the wheels, and i heard a crunching noise from the front. engaged diff lock, and off she went.
so I'd say definitely a broken axle, possibly a diff. I'm gonna find out today.
How does the True Trac work? does it use compressed air? because i like the idea of having a compressor in my truck.

Sounds like you blew your diff, probably not the axle though.
Here is a link to a good article on True Trac's and Detroits, no air is requires , thank God. I have been running mine for about 4 years with great results.

I have a rear Detroit which is always locked except when turning and a front TT that to me is the perfect way to go for the front. It is built like the Detrot, very HD, allows you to rurn while crawling off camber or while climbing up thru the rocks. The on neat feature with the TT is that if you have too much of a lift, the TT will correct the wondering problem generated by the lift.
