Misc. coolant system questions
I had to change the thermostat housing a week ago due to a crack around one of the collars. Now after two short trips I noticed that I still have a coolant leak, which is the bleeder screw that broke off. I thought about changing it anyways since it's the old style. Should I also change the other radiator hoses while I am at it or just change the top radiator hoses? The truck is a 2000 with 72,000 miles. How long do the hoses usually last and how often should they be replaced? What type of coolant should i use it has dex-cool right now and how often should it be changed? I would also like to know what is the proper way of bleeding the air out of the system, thanks.

I would replace all hoses: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9370D2.cfm
At the very least I would replace with the "new-style" top hose:http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PCH000460G.cfm
