Hello all,
after installing front o2 sensors, Megancor Wires, Bosch Plat-4 plugs, OEM Air filter. Most of my codes are gone but I am still pulling fuel lean codes 0171 and 0174. I looked for air leaks and all looks well. any suggestions?

2002 Disco II , 125,000 miles. Head Gaskets & water pump done at 78,000

 

what do you drive? how many miles? what did you have before the OEM air filter?

MAF is another possibility. Have you noticed any unusual exhaust smell, how about your tranny, is it shifting funny into 3rd. or 4th. gear?

 

Hey Mike, I have not noticed any unusual smell in the exhaust or any change in the transimmision performance.

 

It could be coming. In the mean time, you might want to do a can of B&G's 44K in the tank and a induction cleaning to illiminate any dirt or carbon issues.

the transmission code to prove its the MAF. I think thats what he was referring to.
