Default Misfire under load

I am a new owner of a 98 Disco. I bought it when it was not running. I diagnosed the biggest issue as the crank position senor. I replaced that, and it started right up. Upon driving it I found it to studder and misfire when under load. It idles just fine. It is throwing misfire codes. I had a suspision it was the fuel filter or pump, so I replaced the filter. I am only showing about 14-15 fuel pressure. So, I am pretty sure this is the issue. Most places in my area that sell fuel pump are selling the whole assembly. I am looking for a cheap way out if possible. Can a pump from a different vehicle be swapped in? How about a newer Disco? Thoughts?

I have not changed ignition components. It appears the previous owner has, although I have not verified if he did it to spec. I did verify that it had spark. I suppose that is obvious since it runs. Isnt the 14-15lbs fuel pressure an issue? I plan to review all ignition components tomorrow, anything specific to check on?

It doesnt sound strong at all when I turn the key to the on position. Sounds weak as can be. Does anyone know, can I substitute any other pumps other that the one made for a 98'? I have replaced pumps in the past, just not on a Land Rover. Is it a pretty std pump?

If you go to Rover Connection and check out the selection of fuel pumps, you will see that you must use a specific pump based on your vin.
What octane gas are you running, what are the exact fault codes you are getting?
Plan on ordering a set of 8 mm Magnacor wires if your truck still has the original grey wires.
