Mobil 0w40 motor oil
My Rover has no oil leaks. The only one I did experience was due to a clogged PCV valve which forced oil out the passenger rear valve cover (which is now fixed). I assume since Maxlife conditions the seals they should be better off now that I ran Maxlife for 6000 miles. I also think the Mobil 0w40 has its own additive package which also conditions seals and protects in ways other oils do not (sounds like an advertisement).
Once the seals are restored (somewhat) by the Maxlife oil I would hope the motor would not leak with 0w40 Mobil.
Cheers,
Pete

I would switch and then never look back.
Engines get used to a brand of oil, once you switch to M 1 than stay with M 1, you can use different weights, but stay with one brand.
