Default There she blows!!!!

Well the old girl gave up the ghost. I lost my water pump bearing and impeller which sent metal through my system and killed my radiator. I have taken this opportunity to break the dirty bitch apart and replace EVERYTHING. So having begun in earnest I have all the ancillaries pulled out, the sump dropped, front cover removed and the top end about to be removed.

So in lieu of the full swap I am diving headlong into replacing:

Water Pump
Oil Pump and Front Cover
Timing Chain
Power Steering Pump
Pulleys
Retention Spring
Serpentine
Valve cover gaskets
Head gaskets
Intake manifold gasket
o-rings
etc.

The list goes on and the parts are coming this week. Wish me luck and if anyone has advice or tips now would be a great time to hear them.

I would pull the block out and do it that way.
Much more efficient.

Well maybe not.

Transmission makes a great engine stand too.
