He showed me the LA sleeve and it had a groove on the bottom for what I suppose would be the o-ring, but when he calls with the quote I'll double check.
Sounds right. I had a conversation with Vance over at Q&E a few months back and IIRC he said LA Sleeve continues to make their top hats with the groove for the o-ring, they just stopped shipping them with their orders unless you ask. I'll bet your machinist can request that LA send the o-rings with the liners when your engine work is done. You need to coat the o-rings and liners with silicone grease during the install to stop things from binding and twisting.
Work done by AutoSport in Seattle. From what I can tell, their work is top notch and am very pleased.
I will be able to get started on the rebuild next week as I'm travelling for work until then. Hopefully I can find some time to get back up to speed on how the heck I am going to put this thing back together.
Sorry for being 5 pages and a couple months deep on this thread already and the rebuild hasn't even started yet It will start to get more exciting...
