Assuming you have a decent set of tools already, just to remove the fan takes 2 tools at about 60$, front seal puller 15$, ball joint /steering joint tool ~50$, torch to heat the frozen joint 20$. Sometimes special fitting are needed for the power steering lines, steering box repair(or 'new' used unit), Might as well replace the water pump, accessory belt and pulleys while in there....

so yes, for a few hundred in tools and probably 1000 in parts, you could do it....... Not including a welder, if needed....

read through the rave LR repair manual to see the work you will have to do.....

yes, no guarantee on anything...but I always prefer repairing something I already know a bit about.
