My Power Steering Pump Rebuild

My Power Steering Pump Rebuild
So I rebuilt the power steering pump on my 03 Disco 2. I used the rubber/fiber gasket material and made a new gasket. This was made easier by taking the oem gasket which was torn, taping it together, and using it as a stensil. I placed it on the gasket material and sprayed it lightly with spray paint so I would know where to cut. I then coated both metal surfaces with "permatex anaerobic gasket maker" from Autozone. The instructions said to coat one surface with "Anaerobic Gasket Maker Primer". Autozone did not have this product so I had to get it from NAPA. I used this to coat the gasket that I had made. It seems that this is the catalyst that allows the anaerobic gasket maker to cure. I reassembled the pump and let it cure overnight before installing.
It has been two weeks and there is no sign of leakage. I am keeping my fingers crossed. At $350 for a rebuilt pump it is worth a shot.
I am still having sticking issues at times where the steering gets hard but I think I may have air in the system. I did crack the bleeder at both left and right steering stops. Any suggestions on this issue.
