Default Mystery Blinker

Guys,

I've been troubleshooting the blinkers on my 2002 DII. One day, the passenger side blinkers (front, rear) stopped working. When activating the stalk, the relay made three machine gun clicks and then no op on the passenger side.

Tried the hazards: nothing.
Swapped the relays: nothing
Replaced the front bulb: nothing.
Replaced the rear bulb: SUCCESS, rear bulb working

Driver side blinkers work front and rear. Side markers flash both sides. The front passenger blinker will not activate and does not appear to have voltage at all.

What else is there to troubleshoot here? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I had the same issue a few months ago and had to remember what and how I solved my issue...

My front turn signal socket had terminals that were so badly corroded they didn't make contact with the pigtail and were shorting together. When that happened, no turn signals on that side worked, and the relay for that side made the same rapid tap tap tap.

I ordered a new bulb socket from Rovers North.

Given the 3" of water inside the blinker when I opened it... I totally believe it!

I will order a replacement. Thanks for the tip!
