Then I took it up the ramp and around the neighbors backyard. Sure is nice to have all that working.
I cut my console in half with a coping saw while I had it out. I plan on mounting it so either half could be easily removed without the hassle of undoing all the window switches to get to the CDL linkage. It was easy to cut apart.

[quote=Danny Lee 97 Disco;169585]I have mine all out from working on my cdl shifter on my 97 DI. The linkage was totally frozen with accumulated crud. I had to take it all apart, replaced all the little clips and clevis pins, got the high low shft working, the diff lock still would not engage until I replaced the switch, the plunger was frozen on the old switch. You could move the shifter put never get CDL Locked. With new switch I finally got CDL locked and the little dashboard 4 wheel symbol lights right up. I verified switch engagement with ohmmeter after replacement.
What switch?
This is the same problem I'm having. Linkage moves freely as well as the arm on top of the T-case but no diff lock engagement. In fact the light has never come on and I know it's not just a burned out light.
