Need lug wrench for 96 discovery
Hello fella's I need to know where I can get a lug wrench to fit this odd pattern on my beautiful portofino red discovery in very very good condition any houston rover owners around?
either go buy a half inch breaker bar from your local auto parts store with the appropriate socket or you could go buy a t-handle wrench for an RV... with the t-handle you will have some trouble breaking the lugs loose and tightening them to the appropriate torque... so your best bet is the 1/2 inch drive breaker bar... with the lug nut caps on i believe the size is 1 1/16... i removed my metal lug nut covers (took me quite a while with a 1/2 inch chisel and hammer) because some of them would just spin over the lug nut without loosening or tightening it...
Thanks alot discoxd for the fast reply because I really been puttin my baby on the road and realized hey if I have a blowout on the freeway I am stuck like chuck and the last place I want to be is on the side of the road on a Houston,Tx freeway.
It MUST be a 6 point socket.
www.atlanticbritish.com has the lug wrench, I believe it is $15, or you can check www.roverlandparts.com
I just use the 1/2" breaker bar with the 6-point 1-1/16" socket. It fits nicely under the back seat.
