Default New ABS Sensor Causing Dashboard Brake Light

I have had the dreaded three amigos for years now and finally got around to trying to resolve them. The only code was a bad front left sensor output. I replaced the sensor this weekend and in addition to still having the same code, the Brake light on the dash is now illuminated. If I disconnect the sensor then I only get the three amigos (no Brake light).

Any thoughts? I am assuming the new sensor is also bad and that it is causing the Brake light to come on.

From what I understand, the brake light is only triggered by low brake fluid(sensor in cap) and the emergency brake switch. I may be wrong, but check those two things.

Thanks for the response. I actually already checked both of those since that was what I thought as well. Plus the fact that I didn't touch either of them during the ABS sensor replacement.

I believe an electrical fault will also cause the light to illuminate but the timing suggests that it is due to the sensor.
