Active cornering enhancement. You will know you have it if your power steering reservoir has two fill caps. It uses electronic sensors and fancy plumbing to adjust the handling. It's really quite a system.
Most of us who have it notice it has a whine and about every 13 seconds it makes kind of a little surging noise.

Yes I have two caps on my power steering reservoir, so the whine and the noise is normal?

Well, there are varying levels of "normal" I guess. Mine really isn't that loud, but you can hear it. Sounds like a PS pump. Just louder. The surge is noticeable, but not very loud. ACE is one of the coolest systems on these things. It is awesome on road and off.
