I do this with BMWs all the time. It's usually a plug n play deal. Cruise ctrl, heated/power seats, memory functions.....etc....

Heated seats, I assume I'd need the buttons, console, any leather seat.....worst case the wiring harness....but if these are like BMWs, they're all pre-wired for the top of the line. Doesn't make sense to make 50 different harnesses.....

Windscreen, I have the plugs under the cowl, so I guess I'd just need the windscreen and button?

Maybe if I get uber ambitious rear AC is a thing too....but IDK if I'm going to go that far. 3rd row seats I will have to get my hands on though.
Heated windscreen will require a BCM reprogram, in addition to the switch, relay, and two 40A fuses in the underhood fuse panel. I just went through that myself.

Heated seats require the switches and relay, that's it. The same might apply for the cruise control, but I can't say for sure.

Interesting, thanks! I do miss the heated windscreen. The one on my RRC still worked and was the greatest thing in the world on frosty mornings.

Another note, rebuilt my spare front DS and installed it in 3.5hrs. Jesus that double cardan was a pain.....but my vibration at interstate speeds is gone. IDK how, my original DS Ujoints were nice and smooth. Oh well....we'll just be happy it's fixed.

Adjusted the throttle and CC cables. Wow what a difference!

Tossing around the idea to ditch the side steps.

....and looks like, for a trans dipstick, I can just take the dipstick off a BMW....it screws right into the fill plug and doubles as the filler. I happen to have a couple of these dipsticks from e30s. Will give it a try.

Also, for clarification....(I can't get under the truck right now....damn side steps)....these have the 4hp22? 4hp24 was only on the 03+ 4.6, right?

Yeah, was eyeballing the Rave and BMW parts diagrams. I see no reason it won't work. Looking on the e30 I'm about to part out, should be golden. IDK when I'll be able to actually do this, but should be soon. I want to service the trans and T/C, then all the major fluids will be done. PS and brake fluids will be the last.

Also, I went from 13mpg hwy to 14mpg hwy by putting it in Econ mode. 40 miles each way to work. Yay.

Have a friend who made these up. He's got them on Ebay FS.

piece of hose from bleed valve into a cup of clean fluid.......is easy enough, but I always want to get one of those little self bleed set ups from hf and give it a go

Ya....I'll probably end up DIYing it. I just hate dealing with brake fluid.

One thing I've noticed....my electric fan is almost always on once the truck reaches operating temp. After driving 55 down the hwy, pull off, it's running. 10 minute drive to the grocery store, it's running. Get to work after 70 down the interstate, then 35 on the street to work....it's going. Doesn't come on when the truck is initially started. It has a new, OE t-stat in it....I haven't gotten the soft spring, 180 degree one yet.

IDK if I'm just perceiving a problem, or if there is one. Still haven't gotten that Ultragauge....
