new to me dII burns oil at full throttle

That is sooooooo much oil.... mine doesn't leak or burn a drop. I can't imagine 1 quart oil to 1.5 gallon of gas.

I can't imagine that level of oil burning and it only smokes at WOT. Nor can I imagine that level of leak with none on the driveway, or splattered on the rear bumper and glass from air flow at high speed. This may be a new record for a Rover, we have all been bumped back a notch on the "largest leaker" ladder.

That even beats my friend's 04 DII that needed a quart of oil at every full tank.

At that rate you could qualify for Federal Funds as a SuperSite cleanup
