i got the remote to work. im not really liking it though. it seems all it does is lock and unlock. i installed a remote start/alarm/door lock unit on one of my cars awhile back. the thing also had 2 or 3 other options to it like opening the windows and whatnot. is there gonna be a problem with the factory alarm if i put an aftermarket one in?

im also in the process of installing an aftermarket stereo. usually its a pretty simple job. until i hooked everything up and had no sound. then reading the rave manual found out theres a factory amp under the seat. i didnt wanna deal with it so im rewiring all the speakers. i got the fronts done and im dreading the rears. whats the easiest route to get to rears? im thinking either under the carpet or along the doors.

and im not sure if its possible but id like to try and wire up the factory sub box to work with the aftermarket stereo. i took a look behind it and theres 6 wires. im thinking 4 gotta be the speakers and the other 2 gotta be power and ground for the amp. if its not possible though ill just get an aftermarket amp for it or something.

I had Best Buy install my CD head unit because my factory amp was bust, they bypassed it with a special harness.
My sub does not work.

The remote does just that, locks and unlocks the doors, what more do you need?

I am not a fan of remote car starters, I just go out and start it, then come back inside until the windows are defrosted and the snow is melted off the windows, takes about 10 min, these things warm up fast.

My wife does that less and less these days, getting older is not all that great, but I do have a Rover now, and always wanted one. Sooo, I guess you can't have everything, at least at the same time.
