Swap cylinder 2 and 1 wires and see if the misfire moves, if not swap the plugs. If not then maybe you are looking at a bad/clogged fuel injector. Let us know.

I was chasing down codes like that in my '99. It turned out to be the fuel pump. Check the voltage at the pump. If it's not returning the same voltage that it is receiving, that just might be your issue.

Thanks again for the advice. My son just arrived so things will have to wait a bit. All has been noted. I'll let you know what comes up.

Regards

Congrats, the truck will still be there whenever you get a chance to get to it.

Default Finally Fixed

Hi All,

My son finally arrived and I was able to address the misfire problem. I gave up trying to figure it out and took it to a local LR mechanic. Well, the problem turned out to be a simple, free fix ... an improperly gapped spark plug. A different mechanic did the work so it may have been an error during installation. Of course, the LR mechanic made money anyway since I had maintenance work that needed to get done. At least I have my Disco back to drive my wife and son around.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!
