Default New with some Questions

Me and my husband bought a 2000 Land Rover S2 (84,000 miles)just on Saturday at a small dealership. Only had a few days til yesterday the service engine soon light came on. I am taking it today back to the dealership today since i have a 30 day warranty.

The truck is running great as far as we can tell. No problems. Just want to know if anyone can give me any kind of insight.

Thank you!

Get them to divulge the code number and write it down, post back here for second opinion. You can also have codes read for free at most major auto parts stores. The factory manuals and owners manuals are in the free download below called the RAVE. See https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...service-29020/ for a list of things high miles new to you Rovers need. Potential non-code problem is the front drive shaft, the stock ones do not have enough grease fittings, they can split with little warning, and poke a fist sized hole in the transmission, about $7000 repair. The fix ahead of time is not too expensive. See Propshaft Rebuild - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum

Thank you. I am going today to see whats going on and what are the codes. Hoping it is nothing to big since we just got this truck. I tried to call around at Auto Zone (places like that) but they don't read the codes out here, or at least that is what they told my husband because theirs a law here in CA that keeps them from doing it. But i will post any codes on here.

Good luck, post early and often in the D2 part of the forum and you'll get plenty of opinions and advice.
