Default No brake lights

On a 95 D1 5-speed the brake lights quit working as well no power to the brake light switch. I have rear parking / driving lights, jumper to the brake lamp bars on back of rear light assemblythen all brake lights work.
The blinkes run off the same 15 amp fuse and they work. Brake light switch also works, everything tested with a Fluke 87 meter.
Had all fuses pulled and checked, removed the main fuse panel and the Multi Function Unit (looked inside) , reassembled everything with same problem.
Everything electrical works but the brake lights.
Does the Multi Function Unit have anything to do with this?
Asking dealer service all I get is "replace switch" even when I tell them I have no power to either wires to the brake light switch, they haven't a clue.
Well nor do I for that matter.
Any ideas?

Default RE: No brake lights

Are you sure you don't just have a failed brake switch, this is very common with Rovers?
