Default No Brakes

I was driving to work this morning and my brake pedal went right to the floor. I know it could be several things but does anyone have any suggestions on where to start before i get the shaft from garage?

Start by checking the brake fluid level in the reservoir.

Vacuum hose from the brake booster came off.
After that it will be a bad master cylinder, assuming there is not a major brake fluid leak.
