True, also because you don't notice them while driving at night, like you would a head light bulb. That size bulb could probably be a LED replacement as well, for those so inclined. Good feature for paper routes or security patrols in neighborhoods. I've got one of mine out at the moment, trying to get the water on the inside of the head lamp lens to evaporate.

Ok,
Thanks for your responses. So I'm not crazy, there are 'city lights' available someway somehow. Perfect, I used to love riding around town with the 'city lights' and the fog lights on. It was the perfect combo for the streets of Chicago after sundown.
I'm thinking the dealership has a special bulb for me. And I'm sure they'd be willing to offer financing at x% over x number of years, Ha!!! For all I know, they need to be programmed or there's a relay needing replacement, I'm not sure. Either way, I'm unable to find anything about them in the Rave Manual.
Does anyone know a fix for the illusive 'city lights'?
Is there an official term I need?

Thanks for taking a look and I'm hoping we can figure this out.
Matt

You can buy the 194 size bulbs at any auto parts store. Just take out one of yours. Open hood, and feel behind the lamp housing as if you were going to change the main bulb. There is a second socket beside it, much smaller, with wire coming out. 1/4 turn and it comes out, bulb is in the end of it and simply pulls straight out. Bulb is about the size of a large pencil eraser.

This should be no challenge for a Disco owner in WLS land, where the engine block must be removed each night for safekeeping....

Got it... Not sure why I made it so tuff on myself. There right there for crying out loud.

Thanks for all the input.

Now knowing were to look; the official term in the Rave Manual for this fix is 'Sidelight Bulb Replacement'
