No power steering
Changed serpentine belt because of whining noise , noise gone drove less than 20 miles , now power steering stopped , belt is on correct with ace diagram all pulleys are turning no leaks and fluid is at level and churning.. Any thoughts ...
This is just a shot in the dark but,
An engine belt has groves on one side and is smooth on the other. They can get flipped inside out from people playing with them and if you install them like that it could cause the belt not to grip the pulleys.
Also, The spring in the tension pulley may have got messed up when you pulled it back to take the old belt off and put the new belt back on. As a result it may not be holding good tension on the belt causing it slip and not turn the PS pump.
